During the first year of doing TPT full-time I had to learn a lot - how to plan, how to be productive, how to focus, how to spend my day, and more! In 2015, I lost & quit my job. I know you are thinking that doesn't make any sense.  Well, I was no longer going to be employed as a Special Ed Resource teacher in the district where I worked - I lost my job. They didn't hold my contract - my Special Ed Interlocal did. I was being moved to a position I did not feel qualified for nor did I want - so I quit my job. That's how that works.  For me, it was God opening the door for me to leave teaching where I was burnt out and having health problems. Teachers leave for different reasons. I didn't decide one day that I would go do TPT full-time. I was put into the position to do TPT full-time. What I learned during that first year of being full-time was that I could apply my teaching skills of planning to help me use my days - most of the time - being productive. So what does ......
This is part 3 of Getting Ready for the New Year. Click for Part 1 and Part 2 . There are 2 things I like to do at the end of each month/quarter/year. 1) I look over my data to see what it's telling me. 2) I like to spend some time thinking about what worked and what didn't work during that time frame. Here are some questions to ask yourself. ☞ Are there products that are blossoming? Plan to make more like them. ☞ Are there products that haven't taken off? Look to see what's going on with the product. Maybe the description is off. Maybe it needs a new cover. Maybe it needs some marketing. Maybe it just isn't what people are looking for. ☞ Are there things you are doing that seem to be a waste of time? Try to streamline the process with a system or maybe forget it and try a different approach. ☞ What did you do that  worked well? Plan to do more of that. ☞ Are you using a plan and your time wisely? Remember that being productive and being busy ar......

I have now settled into a routine that I use every 90 days. I am more organized, more focused, and more productive with my TPT work. I put everything together in a mini seller course.
