Do I need to have an email list? As a TpT Seller, there are so many things that you need to do and so many things that you want to do. If you are reading posts in FB groups and listening to podcasts, it can get overwhelming. New Sellers and Email Lists If you are a new seller with just a few resources in your store, creating products should be your #1 priority. This should be a priority until you get quite a few quality products in your store and you feel like you have the hang of making products. You could start an email list to start collecting emails. Just be aware that when you first start something there is a lot to learn. Having a lot to learn means that will take up a lot of your time. Which leads to not as much time to create products. If you are feeling like this right now, it's probably not a good time to tackle an email list. Not so New Sellers and Email Lists If you have been a seller for a bit and have the hang of making quality products, then it's time to bran......

Are you interested in promoting your resources for FREE? I love it when I can do something for free! This FREE promotion is the Note to Followers found right on TPT. I know you are wondering, "Is the Note to Followers on Teachers Pay Teachers worth using?" Some TPT sellers say it isn't because they never look at them. I used to think that way as well. Then I decided to give it a try again. I became a believer in using them. Here's why: When I sent out a Note, over 50 followers clicked on the download link I provided. Yes, I have over a thousand followers, but that is over 50 people who continue to interact with me . Buyers who aren't sellers don't always act like seller-buyers. Many of them do open those notes, so send them out! It's FREE promotion going directly to people who have clicked on the green star to follow your store. Okay some of them may be following you because of a giveaway or something, but maybe you'll hook them in with your fabulous......
The first priority you should worry about is making QUALITY products. If you don't have products, you can't market your store. When you do start marketing, there are some different opportunities for you. Remember though that you don't want to be pushy or sales-spammy on many of these. ✪ Submit a free and paid resource to the TPT newsletter weekly. The free item must be 10 pages or less. That includes the resource, cover, credits, etc. Everything is included in this count. Currently there is no fee for submitting a paid resource to the newsletter if it is chosen. ✪ Promoted Resources on TPT. You can check out the blog post TPT Promotion Spots for more information. ✪ Pinterest. Remember this isn't about just posting product cover pins. Create pins of your resource in action or staged. Also, try to pin with the 80/20 rule in mind - 80% content (blog posts, articles, funnies, memes, etc that are yours or others) and 20% products (yours). If you want to pi......
Are you looking for ways to get your products seen? TPT has Promotional Spots that can be purchased and is one way to market your resources. ◈ Where do promoted products show up? Promoted Spots are visible at the top of a search page when a buyer clicks on one of the side tags (math, ELA, 3rd grade, etc). If you buy a spot under the category of 3rd grade, then potential buyers will see it IF they click on the side tag "3rd grade". It will not be seen under any other tag and will not be seen if someone searches through the search bar "3rd grade". ◈ When can spots be purchased? On the 19th going into the 20th of each month, the spots open up. They are released at 12 am (midnight) Eastern Standard Time and for 3 months out. For example, in May the spots opened up for August. The spots are sold out VERY quickly (many times in less than 5 minutes) especially for Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Primary Grades. ◈ What do these......
