Hi all! I have a short video of some cover examples - do's and dont's. There are some beautiful covers on TPT. Mine are fine and they're my style. I suggest you look around at different stores, get some ideas, and make covers that are YOUR style. Please don't copy someone else's style - make them you. I have added the blog to Bloglovin' if you like to find your favorite blog posts there. The button is right above my photo in the sidebar. Have you joined the newsletter yet? **IMPORTANT** - Be sure that whatever you use is for commercial use and you follow the Terms of Use outlined by the artist!! Once you've selected your size, it's time to build a cover. Here are some items to consider when creating a cover. ⇒ BACKGROUND Choose a background paper or photo. You don't want something too distracting to take away from your title. ⇒ FRAME I like to use a frame with a white background so the title doesn't blend into the paper/photo. ...
Now that you know you need covers for your TPT products, it's time to find out a little more about covers. (If you missed the post on the need for covers, click here >> Product Covers and Why You Need Them .) One way to do this is to use the portrait cover and have a strip of black on the side. I did that for a while and it worked for me until a lot of other sellers started doing the same thing. I don't suggest everyone do that because the point is for YOUR products to stand out in the sea of...
Do you NEED covers for your TPT Products? YES!! Product covers are a necessary part of our TPT products. This is the first thing that buyers will see and hopefully be attracted to. Why? When you go to the grocery store, everywhere you look you will see products with "covers" - cereal boxes, cookie packages, ice cream containers, vegetable cans. They all have a cover or label to entice you to purchase the product. Have you check out the magazine section or a book store? They are all vying for your attention with their attractive covers. It's the same thing for our TPT products. You want to add a cover that is eye-catching so that when your cover is viewed in search it will capture people's attention and stop their scroll. Hopefully they will be intrigued enough to click on your cover and see what you product is all about. Every free and paid resource that you post on TPT needs to have a cover. You will upload this separate from your product. There is a space when you c...
